Welcome to book 1 of the Haven series.

Mythical creatures, talking felines, magical cores, elementals, and bonds – these are commonplace worldwide. Gracie Bauman is a magician of divine casting and bonds, the only Allistar to do both. After receiving a letter from an old soul requesting her help finding the Celtic stone and setting him free, she accepts, hoping he may know what happened to her mother. Sebastian Bryce, a magician of electricity, accompanies Gracie to the country of Leviston where the unimaginable lurks. After admitting regrets at the troll bridge and reuniting with the feline vagabond, they find themselves in Bolivian, Leviston, only to learn that sinister forces are after the stone as well. Will the Celtic stone remain divine, or will it turn to chaos? Lies and deceit. Promises that cannot be broken. Just another lovely day.

Excerpt – Chapter 30
Sebastian reached up without anyone noticing, encasing Gracie’s hand in his, startling her at the sudden warmth. “Sebastian,” Gracie gasped.
She leaned onto her knees, sandwiching his hands between hers, and grazed her lips across his. Sebastian groaned under her, his eyes fluttering open in a squint.
“That…was…one…hell…of an attack,” he said in a pain-stricken tone.
“I know,” she agreed. Tears fell from her eyes onto his cheeks, leaving streaks in the blood covering them.
He reached up with his free hand and cradled her face. “I fucking hate when you cry,” he commented.
Gracie sputtered a laugh, shaking her head. Out of everything he could have said, it had to be about her crying.
